G722 is an speech codec that is widely used in telecommunication applications. Its key features are low latency and low complexity.
dlab has implemented the ITU-T standardized G722 codec within a single Simulink model. The encoder consists of two QMF (Quadrature Mirrored Filter) that split the audio signal into two frequency bands and two ADPCM modules for data compression. The decoder provides the inverse functionality of the encoder.
